Default Indy F1 GP 2004 - Saturday Free practice pics - 56K beware

I had the good fortune to go the F1 race this weekend. The following pics were taken by me during the first and second practice sessions on Saturday. Enjoy...

Turns 6 and 7
Rubens Barrichello ...

Ricardo Zonta ...

DC and Button

DC

Alonso

Alonso again ...

Schumi

Cristiano Da Matta

DC again ...

Fisichella ...

Heidfeld

Kimi ...

Sato-san

Kimi again ...

Giorgio Pantano ... he had a very nervous car

Ralf Schumacher

Rubens

Schumi again

Sato

Klien

Pantano again ..

Back straight

Sato and Klien down the back straight

Klien braking hard - his brakes were glowing - visible even in bright sunlight ...

Webber's brakes do the same too

Massa locking up at the end of the straight

Monty braking hard - but no brakes glowing

Rubens braking hard - but no brakes glowing -- problem only with the Jags

Turns 8 - 11Ralf taking turn 8

Kimi headed to first hairpin (turn 9)

Montoya powering down the short stretch after second hairpin (turn 10)

Rubens in the same section ..

Alonso

Sato

Klien

Schumi

Schumi again ...

Me (schumacher fan in the center of picture) predicting a victory for Michael ... I really went on a limb here

Thanks sameerrao,

very nice pics.
2 small comments:
a) why don't you resize the pics to e.g. 800 x 600 pixels. Thus you will keep the messageboard format intact.
b) Did yo change anything on your digicam's setting when you took the Ralf Schumacher pic As it is so nice and crisp

It was pure luck. The cars were moving quite fast - so it was difficult for me to get it exactly sharp.

it really was, the biggest problem with the digi cams is they dont snap the picture right away... so by the end of the race, i was getting better at timing thier position around the turn. not to mention the silly auto focus feature sometimes focused on the gate instead of the car.

good shots

True.

Although, I remember playing with using infinity focus to see if it de-emphasizes the catch fence in the pictures
