Audi R15 TDI revealed (now with color)
Not pretty, but I bet it is devastatingly functional.

Maybe i don't pay that much attention to the aesthetics of prototypes, but it amazes me how this one is capable of resembling a normal Audi grille, i typically don't see that in this kinda machine

When Audi showed on the scene with the R10 TDI, most everyone at first noticed the quietness of the P1 engine. Taking their technology one step further, the V10 TDI is new for the R15. It will have a maximum torque output in excess of 1,050 Newton meters and will produce more than 600 hp, per the Audi Web site. The R10's twelve-cylinder was not as compact nor as light as the new powerplant. Audi has improved the fuel consumption and CO2 emissions also and added lighter diesel particle filters.

Not much else has been revealed.

So far, so good. It cruised to victory at Sebring. Unlike the R10, it won with speed as well as strategy and reliability.
