Default weird weird weird weird weird problem

this is pissing me off, i have this problem for quite sometime and it have been ok, but now it's pissing me off.

so here's the problem, i have these *.MPG or *.MPEG vids, and i noe for sure that they are at least an hour long, and i DID download them fully, i open them up using WMP with ALL the codec installed, and WMP say that the video is only 10 min long!!!. and it's anoying because once i finish viewing it for 10 min i can't forward it to skip annoying commercial or uninteresting part of the vids!!!

plz help.

Try playing them in a dvd player like windvd, the prob might be they are vcd/svcd but i doubt it.

There's problem with the muxing of the MPEG file. You can try remuxing the file in TMPGEnc or like gigdy said, play it in a dvd player like WinDVD or PowerDVD.

Hey TigerX, are u talking about the VBD Porsche vid? If u are, I had the same problem. Try use PowerDVD to play the file, it solves the problem for me.

Try to play the video with Media Player Classic, that may solve the problem.

WinDVD worked perfectly fo me. RealPlayer and WMP both have issues with it.

ic, can you guy suggest a STABLE with good compatility and well rounded media/video player for me? i'm starting to really hate WMP and BSplayer now.

I use VLC whenever WMP decides it doesnt want to work right. VLC plays it everytime no problems so i'd have to suggest that one to you.

VLC never worked to me. I use Winamp for ALL except .rm and .qt files Works great whatever you play

I sometimes u media player classic provided by K-Lite codec pack. Always worked.

i'll try VLC. winamp isn't that great, i have it never use it to watch video though.
