Should cars be used or coddled in cotton wool?
I saw this pic in the gallery - and there were a few comments about how nice the car was, but why mistreat it like this...
Let's discuss this topic... whether certain cars deserve a "special" treatment - or are they akin to religious icons - OR
Is it actually sacrilege to NOT use the car for what it was designed - in this case - race around a track - and the driver brought his spare tyres with him. I think THIS is the most appropriate use for the car - not "cruising" Rodeo Drive in Hollywood.
Let the fracas begin
p.s. My car has sevred me well, even as a picnic table at times

i believe that cars, no matter how much they cost should be used. thats what they were designed for doing. yes i agree some cars are art, but art w/ a purpose! to be driven. on the same note these same cars deserve respect and should have tires stacked on them.

Table is fine...as long as it's not a Ferrari
I hate people that buy minivans and have 1 or 2 kids. Or people that buy SUVs to cruise around town. I think that is just stupid!

The first thing I will do with my SL55/F575/F40 (or whatever I happened to buy in this fantasy) is go for a drive through the twisties with my daughter, pull into a rest stop and use the hood as a picnic table for our McDonalds takeout...
BTW Mihai - you seem to spend an aweful lot of time "hating" - life is too short man.. chill out a little...

I agree that a car should be used for its intended purpose .. why cuddle a ferrari in ur garage when u can be out on the roads enjoying it .. so what if the high mileage destroys the resale. Dont abuse it and maintain it well...damn.. u only live once

I think the best example of this is the bloke (sorry i forgot names) who paid 6,000,000 for his Ferrari and still drives it every day!

How about this dude who gave his Enzo to Road and Track Magazine to test it for 1000 miles...and he also says that he wants his Enzo to be the Ferrari with most miles on it....I'll scan the article and post it later on.
