Default M5 Touring, C63 AMG, S63? AMG

M5 Touring on Nurburgring

C63 AMG
Are you tired of the measly 363 horsepower C55 AMG? Do you sit cowering in the corner at night worried that BMW's upcoming M3 will run circles around your poor little C-Class?

If rumors are true, you may soon be able to rest a little easier. Autocar has captured what are believed to be photos of an upcoming Mercedes C63 AMG. Yes, that's right... no more puny 5.5-Liter 363 horsepower V8 producing 376 lb-ft of torque; real men want an earth-bending 6.3-Liter 510 horsepower V8 producing 465 lb-ft of torque.

What this means in plain English: this car will be fast, very fast.

Now before you get your hopes up, I must warn you - Autocar is also reporting the C63 probably won't be scheduled for series production. It will, however, be produced in limited numbers, for 'preferred' customers.

What this means in plain English: you gotta be rich, very rich.

Oh well, I guess that exludes me. You know, I could always opt for the 2.5-Liter 201 horsepower C230, throw a C63 badge on it, and tell everyone I'm too cool to drive fast... or not.

As always, stay tuned and we'll keep you updated if we get any more details on the C63.

That's a bit over the top...a 6.3 litre V8 on a rather old C Class chassis, I hoped they tweaked it before choosing to switch the engine. The car looks quite nice, it has the characteristic side vents at the fron, just in front of the wheels (like in the SL65). A beast of a car, thst's what it is.

I knew Merc would build the C63 somehow... The competition is in serious trouble cause they got no comparable machine in this class.
