Painting Model Kits
Ok, i'm not going to write up my own painting instructions. i think tamiya has the most complete on the web. if i write my own, it'll probabaly be just a rehash. however, i'll answer any steps you guys are confused with.

Another good tutorial:
http://www.italianhorses.net/Tutoria...aint/paint.htm
I like the tamiya one though, it gave technical reasons for various things which made it all a lot easier to understand. I now know what mistakes I was making! I was doing millions of 'mist' layers. So the paint had lost a lot of thinner on its way to the car. Therefore it could not level out. I should have brought the can closer and increased the speed of the 'stroke'! I understand now!! Cheers for all this.
Have a look at some of the work that the bloke above has done

Stunning!

thats why i gave the tamiya one. to me it seems the most complete for beginners.
yea his name's alex. absolutely brilliant!!
when building ferraris, refer to his site before beginning to build your kit. his pretty much built most of them.
not only is the exterior good but interior is excellent. sometimes he fabricates his own parts. most of the time i neglect the interior because its something you don't see clearly.

check this out:
http://www.ipmsstockholm.org/magazin..._car_paint.htm
it's a nice tutorial on how to use automotive paint on painting scale model car's bodies. after reading this, i always use actual automotive paints using an airbrush.
