I can't say I agree. It would have been near subzero in the 1940s, but six decades on, it just looks like something you'd find at a Cold War era scrapyard.

No four wheel vehicle ever built can abuse the driver more than that beauty right there. And, I know for a fact that many Willys engines, and drive trains, are still running to this day as swamp buggys in the Florida Everglades. A subzero, and a tip of the hat to a Granddad that just won't quit.

^That may be a feat of engineering, but it doesn't make it cool. A 100 year old woman must be pretty healthy to stay alive for that long, but she ain't hot anymore.

I agree that its "feat of engineering" alone does not make it cool but it sure doesn't hurt. what makes it cool is that you can throw a dart at a map of the world and this thing can get you there. be it swamp mountain, dessert, what ever. and that they pretty much got it right the first time since the new Wranglers, while not exactly the same, are still largely based off the original.
