BTW - was it me of the grandstands looked empty??
i dono about the back end of the course; but you have to remember that they only sell tickets upto a cirtain point on the grandstands; and much past the north vista is pretty pointless to watch.

i have pictures of full grandstands BTW

i have to admit that the inside seating of the paddock was suprisingly empty; but you can only see the straight away there... but i dont know hwat it was like in 04, or 05

As for the crash...thanks to me being a bit dumb, I was trying to film the start and was looking through the viewfinder until I saw the puff of smoke from the first contact, then I looked at the circuit but kept trying to film freehand...the net result of which was that I didn't see Heidfeld's barrel-roll, nor did I manage to get it on film. BAH!
i had my brother film the start.... and it turns out he did get the accident on film... but it is a bit shakey still, it was there

It will be highly unlikely for Ferrari to win the French GP. Renault and Mich has been doing well there consistently.

/\/\/\Maybe the Bridgestone thing is not just an Indy thing. Maybe they finally figured out the best formula...

LOL, and I was thinking the fastest lap and the highest topspeed were two different things

http://www.f1total.com/ergeb/2006/10/51ts.shtml

Unfortunately no statistics on topspeed on the race (yet?).

No clue. Maybe Renault felt they weren't going to have what they usually do through the twisties, so they trimmed the wing, and ended up shooting themselves in the foot? *shrug* All I know is that Alonso looked like shit through the infield section.
