just wondering some people have stated things like this:
as far as I'm concerned, the only thing GT3 did better was graphics
|
have any of you played it with the gt force steering wheel? you will be blown away by the sheer realism that it provides the game with. combined with the physics, graphics and tuning abilities, i think this gives gt3 the edge over EVERY other racer (apart from gt4 when it comes out of course ).

For ps one, definitely GT2 was a legend of its time...
But now, GT3 takes the icing on the cake. Imporved sound, graphics, physics and hence, realism!
Hopefully, GT4 will better GT3 by far.

i've never played 1 or 2, so maybe i'm biased, but even if 2 had more cars and mods, graphics are a MAJOR portion of gameplay. but i have the upmost confidence that GT4 will be much better, combining graphics, cars, mods and then some.

I voted for 3 because it looked so good, but 2 kicked ass because of all the cars, but theres no doubt that 4 will be the best racing game ever

GT2 does it for me...it was essentially the same sets of engines as GT1 (which completely blew the competition out of the water) and it had more cars and the "used car lots" which I really enjoyed. I think that a GT2 style game with GT3 level graphics (or better) and physics would be amazing...and it sounds like that is what GT4 is going to be, so I'm really looking forward to getting it when it comes out here in the US...until then, I'm waiting on my Toyota.com Prologue and the Prologue I'm currently downloading from Suprnova.org...hopefully they'll a good way to spend time until GT4 arrives

GT4. although i havent played it, it can only get better. i never had a ps1 so i didnt get into GT2 or GT1 although i have played em. after GT3 its just not up to par. GT4 looks even better even tho it isnt released, in this series, the next game keeps getting better than the one before it. i say GT4 hands down.

game-wise gt2 is the best. hundreds of cars, numerous great tracks. gt3 had a lot less cars and lacked a few essential elements, but the graphics absolutely rocked. can't wait for gt4 as they say it has more cars and tracks that gt2 and the graphics are better than gt3.
