Doesn't matter how they package it - it is still a stupid excercise.. akin to synchronized swimming.

Perhaps, but synchronized swimming is fascinating to look at. No smoke, no discerning sounds. In my opinion drifiting is a huge waste of a car's potential. Just think of all the wasted tyres and worn out mechanism...waste...

I'm sorry, let me clarify...
In my opinion drifiting
I just put it in there. For me, an automotive competition is that of car design or a race around a road track, no ovals for me.

Unfortunaly I saw one on TV.

What an utter load of crap.

As pointless and stupid and asinine as "street stunting".

Just because an activity has "sponsors" and lots of spectators, doesn't make it good.

Let's face it - in order to pull off all the "moves" - the cars need to be "setup for drifting".

So - again - What a fucking waste of a chassis.

Do you honestly think that BMW spent the time and effort on any of their 3 series chassis to be unbalanced and show-boat like in the corners?

But hey - horseshoes and frisbees are also "sports"
