I can't believe the CSL time of 7:36, that's close to the CGT time
But maybe with track tyres and upgraded brakes ...

There is also a CSL "loaded" with supercharger and 480hp doing 7.30 min
But I must say, 7.36 min with only 360hp, impressive !!!

well GT3 RS also got a cage and R-tires and shouldnt be compared with regular GT3.
I also think GT3 RS has lower weight than CSL, GT# RS also got better acceleratation.
But what surprised me more, is that you can buy a CSL or a GT3 RS for half the price compare to CGT. If you only want a trackcar I go with a CSL or a GT3. But if I hade the money for a CGT it would be my choice anyway

fast but true, there is no reason to lie about it.
Put R-tires and do some modifications on CGT and it will be even faster.

Yeah, alot of it is to do with tires. The porsche racing cars for the 24 hour races do 7:01 laps of the 'ring' Shows what racing tyres and suspension tuning can do.
Thats why a stock CSL is faster than a stock GT3, despite being heavier: the stock CSL basically has cut slicks, the stock GT3 has road tires.

So does this prove that LOADED guys claim of 7: 30 may infact be possible - seeing it has similar weight and 100hp more?

yes GT3 has roadtires but GT3 RS (which is the car in the test) dont have it. It got R-tires too but the R-tires on the CSL is the best R-tires at the moment on the market.

So there goes the argument we had before about the CSL doing a 7:30 lap or not in the other section. It's amazing how fast the CSL is. Way to go BMW!!! Ultimate stealth car. My kind of car. I'll take the Bimmer over the Prosche anyday. Great test.

Pretty sure if you put the same tires on the GT3 RS..it would be a completely different story....

I´m really impressed, I mean the RS is not your average car...and I think it is a fair test, both with R tires and no forced induction.
GT3 should be compared to CSL, GT3 RS being even more extreme should be compared to a tuned CSL since BMW don´t offer something more radical.
Way to go BMW!!!
