Unlike the piece of GM crap - which is their generic, mass-produced, plastic-lined, cheap-ass, entry-level lump of pig-iron.,.

Now which car seems to have done it's makers proud...????

0wned 1.2 seconds is HUGE

like was aforementioned, wait until the Z06! holy shit that thing is going to kill.

Our Porsches have been great...never had any problems with them and I really think even though they are much more expensive..you get what you pay for..
Except performance..
You do get very good performance from a Porsche, the GT3 may not be as fast as the new C6 around the track, which would surprise the hell out of me, but as far as quality, endurance and build quality I dont believe any car on the road can surpass a Porsche..and for me thats what counts. But I guess my opinion cannot really count since I'm so biased against GM..lol

Purely on performance, corvettes are very good and the new C6 looks great and I'm looking forward to see what they say about it on Top Gear!

yeah but we are talking about a quality and performance combo...I agree honda and toyota do have great quality but IMO they arent on the level of a corvette or Porsceh in terms of performance

That same argument has been used since the beginning of time...

The nice thing about the the green flag is - that as soon as it drops - the bullshit stops..

Remember. GT3 lapped in wet. And we are talking lap times, not "interior design".

So that GT3 could have lapped 2 seconds faster easily.

OK - fair enough... so the GT3 only laps in .5 second faster than the C6 coupe.

That doesn't say much for the GT3 though..

Just because they're not as quick in a straight line (which is worthless anyway, drag racing is dumb) and not made in America doesn't make them bad cars.

Well we can always say that the ambiet temperatures during the GT3 lap were very low making its tires perform even worse...ohh and did I say that Stig favors the Vette so he drove it harder

SO now we can say the GT3 is not a good allrounder, and is easily tripped up by a little rain..

Should have done what I did, ignore any post with numbers.
I still don't know how fast it went around the track, I do know it was close to the GT3 though. I'll be doing my best to keep it that way untill I see the episode. As matter of fact, I think I'm gonna ignore this thread from now on so noboady inadvertantly spoils it for me.

The 'vette is so much cheaper than the GT3, you can spend the price difference on a replacement in 5 years when the next gen comes out

So, at the end, you get more cars and performance for the same amount of money.

Looking forward to see the episode... and jeremy's face after he sees the lap time
