Default New Jaguar XJ doesn't look like the old XJ. Doesn't even look like a Jag at all!

Really cool looking car, difficult to redesign the XJ for the first time in 40+ years, excellent job.

Everything looks great except for the rear end. It completely falls flat. Especially the painted C-pillar. It looks cheap and like an afterthought. It doesn't integrate with the DLO at all.

I completely agree, the back is completely off, i don't think it integrates at all with the rest of the car, maybe seeing it in person would change my mind, other than that, everything looks great! the interior looks awesome...

Hahaha. I suppose it's not a good thing that it instantly reminded me of Citroen Pluriel.

I still prefer the old XJ. This new car is far too modern-looking. If I want an XJ, I want something that looks old-school.

Not great, but not bad either. I actually like the rear and the interior. I'd take one over the current S-class or 7 series.....maybe.

I'd just buy an old XJ. I sometimes see cheap ones on offer in the papers.

That's why they weren't selling, they were styled for pensioners.

Sadly, yes.

Oddly, my favorite still has to be the 90's Jags. They got it pretty perfect with the old theme.

The current XJ somehow looks worse.

The brand new one, though, is the way forward. As much as I think the rear looks silly, it's pretty impressive.

i agree looks alot like the new XF just bigger oc course makes sense to have gone this way since a younger customer base is needed and the XF seems to be accomplishing that with its new look!

I wonder how much it would be to own one in the USA... and how much I would have to romance my wife into trading in our 2009 maxima for one... hmmm the battle ahead is full of perils

Actually, they were not selling because they where over priced, over weight, terribly unreliable pieces of crap with zero resale value.
