summary by D-fence:
3 Engine prototypes have been stolen out of Porsches development center, 2 conventional engines and one "engine of the future". The parts have been found in the Techart garage. four people are in jail, two leasing-managers of porsche, and two customers. Porsche now sues Techart for theft, Techart says they bought the stuff with a bill and thought everything was ok, but found out, that the engine wasn´t the promised 997 Turbo engine, but something else (they were fascinated), so they gave it back to the dealer, and it was found there. If it´s true, Techart will be out of the buisness, because Porsche never delivers parts to someone who did something "strange" with them....

Right now, the only facts are, the engines disappeared, popped up at Techart......that´s it.

Kramer was accused by Porsche of stripping their "baby" 934 back in the day and stole all the technology from that. You cant put it past some people.

well apparently Techart didn't steal the engines. from what i could read, they bought them believing that they were models from the 997 model.

but on the other hand some workers have admitted stealing htem. kind of conflicting reports...

I work with the U.S. Distribution of TECHART product.

Please be assured that TECHART is not having any difficulties of any kind at this time. There is a tabloid publication in Germany that has produced an article which is being mis-interpreted. TECHART is in no way being held liable
for any wrongdoing.

For clarification: Two individuals authorized to use materials at the Porsche research facility removed complete engine cores from the facility. They later were successful in selling these engines to a local Porsche dealer. This dealer had a history in selling engine cores to TECHART. Upon receiving these particular units TECHART realized that they were not of standard configuration and returned them to the dealer.

Later it was found by government officials that those units were amongst the group of materials removed from the research facility. TECHART complied with officials by supplying all documentation proving the purchase and return of the engines back to the dealer.

TECHART is not being held responsible for any wrong doing in this matter.

TECHART has been surprised by this occurrence. Of course, TECHART will fully contribute to clarify all facts in this matter and to resolve all suspicions.

The investigations do not affect the course of business in any way.
