Barret has been filmed, and shown live on speed TV for years now...
BJ 2009 is later in the week... we wont see as many cars, nor cars going for nearly the same values as 2007. I'd feel pretty bad about paying over 1MM on a Hemi Cuda... I bet they wont move for much above 300k this year.

That wasnt the actual car that was sold.. it was just a "place holder" for the first car to be produced.

This has always confused me a bit. Doesn't Jay claim to own ZR1 00001? Does the Barrett Jackson ZR1 get its own VIN pattern to guarantee it's "00001" status? It seems like Jay's car would be the more collectable of the two 001 ZR1's.

Extra money over the sticker went to charity.

Big deal this year in Phoenix this week will be the 1963 Corvette Grand Sport #002 of 5 made. It may go for 5 million, I'm betting 15 million.

Photos here next week as I will be there, but not bidding just taking photos.

Doesn't the special color ZR1 have a special VIN? Jay may own 0001, the first regular production car; but not the first customer car.

It just seems like a sneaky way to get two 00001's out of the production run.

Ressler, who bought the "first" ZR1 also owns the first corvette sold to the public, 1953 model, the third one produced.

He is a pretty nice guy, I have some pics of a silver ZR1 he bought, and he is a old customer of mine.

the Grandsport did not sell, bidding got up to 4.9 i think. which is a shame, thats one of the most significant corvettes left, and even better since it is "unrestored"
