Prediction:
Similar to the famous free services under the .com boom..
Everyone will rush to offer free space.. up too a point where there cost gets too high.. Then suddenly it will disappear.. maybe even completely.

LOL lets sign up as many people as possible from here and then start a chain mail with stupidly large attachments to each other .. and then keep resending it until that 10000 petabyte server cluster crashes

They are already down...
We are receiving so many requests for our free 1 TB/500MB attachment email account that you may experience a downtime regarding receiving email for a few hours as we are currently adding more email servers so you can enjoy our site for many years to come.
BTW - my email their is [email protected] -- send me some 500mb attachments so we start the downhill spiral...

What if the server is smart enough to do a md5 on the file and only keep one copy?

Make it a zip file - and add one file each time you forward it..

I think yahoo has a "delete" button to actually delete some emails every now and then

I know, i used it for sending files, So i have many files atached, Its mine Online Works Archive
