Default 2010 Shelby GT500 Revealed!!!













Important pointers.
-Improvements carried over from the limited edition GT500 KR
-540hp, 510lb-ft torque
-New gearbox enhancements, plus a standard 3.55:1 rear axle ratio
-Integrated rear Gurney Flap
-Downforce increased and drag reduced
-Interior trim unique to GT500
- +2mpg to hwy mileage
-On sale from spring

THey are lacking some VERY important details....

improvement over the KR... WEIGHT!

tires aren't as sticky... but that is easily remedied

I thought the new one was heavier. Slightly.

I still think the shelby should have the shelby style taillights that the original concept had.

That was obviously retro. They're trying to move away from that.
I like the new ones much better after seeing them with my own eyes. It's instantaneously recognizable as a Mustang, but does so without resorting to oh-so-obvious cues. And it's quite interesting looking otherwise, actually. The first one, I thought looked a bit too flat. Literally. The new one adds so much more dimension.

you must have missed the number of magazine articles where the KR was one of the best handling cars of 2008... not just in terms of absolute grip, but in laptimes, and progressive feel at the limit.

Suspension is carryover from the KR... KR owners are likely going to be a bit upset with the new 500.

Good to hear that they use proper suspension on this one
Btw i was talking about the normal gt500 not the kr or supersnake.
