Sub-zero! Iconic Porsche - a driver centric car like the CS for Ferrari. Tons of race pedigree to boot.
Good news is that this is coming to the US unlike the 996 GT3 RS. 8)
Superb looking car. Should be the business on a race track and road.
I am Ferrari fan so keep the following in mind when you read the next comment - I think the 911 seems to have hit a ceiling with the 996 and 997. Take the last couple Ferraris: 348, 355, 360, 430 - every subsequent release had a bigger engine and was more powerful than its predecessor by a significant margin. The mid-engine layout provides a lot of room in this regard. The weight of the cars have not increased that much. In fact the 360 is lighter than the 355 while 430 is marginally heavier than the 360.
Looking at the tight confines of the 911 trunk I think Porsche cant really increase their displacement beyond say 4.0 litres. They have to resort to turbocharging to get some decent power out if it - 500hp plus. This will ruin the drivability of the GT3 which prides itself for its tractive engine with scalar power increase.
Having said that it is very impressive fact that Porsches make excellent use of all the power the engine room makes. A Porsche with 350 hp can keep up with a Ferrari with 400hp.
