Thats a great first try! Insane detail, great job on the tires and the grill. Just try and concentrate more on the straight lines on the car. Some of them seem wavy, other than that it loks outstanding! And yeah, these are my first few attempts. I think I will continue tooning.
For your first colouring stage don't worry about using very many different colours in the car, just pick two different colours for the light and dark sections of body on the car. For other pieces like dark grilles and the underbody just pick a real dark colour that doesn't stand out much. Thats how i did my first two. Even on the exige I think I only only have about 3 different shades of colour for the body. Good luck!
EDIT: oh and about tooning a 2 cars together, it is possible, it just takes more time. A drifting scene on the other hard would be difficult, as it would be very hard to cartoon a moving wheel. But if you put enough effort into it, I guess you could.

Damn I wish I had of read your tips for colouring before I started  . Either way, ive done now, like I said, i messed up on the colouring abit. I tried to get too many tones of colour when I think, like you said, less looks better. Also what you said about the wavey lines, I found you need to be a very patient person, im not lol. After a while i was just clicking rapidly so my lines was'nt too accurate. Took me 4 hours ish like you. I will try another one before long, there pretty cool. Hope to see your latest shortly

Daggernite that actually didn't turn out to shabby, I like it. It's cool how you left the lights in, real original!
Finally I've finshed the Koenigsegg. For some reason the rims took me forever to finish. I couldn't decide if I liked the CCR with the lights on or off, so I posted both. Enjoy!

yeah, theres 3 layers in all. One for the picture, one for the line tool, and the other to colour. Use the line tool on the 3rd lay so when you colour it does'nt go over your line.

Well I think I did a better job with the colouring this time around. Theres also a 1000 more lines than my fiesta toon. So its more detailed too.

GREAT JOB DAGGERNITE! Thats awesome! Great job on the colouring. Much better than your first. You did a great job on the light and dark areas. I haven't decided on what I'll be doing next, I probably will begin later today, I'll have an update up by tonight. I'm planning on doing the Muira, either the concept or the original.
btw, I'd love to see an Evo! Definatly one of my favs!

this is not called tooning, it is called 'vector' work.
just use the pen tool in PS, simple work, just very time consuming.
it is also alot easier/better to do in a illustrator, since illustrator is vector based, unlike PS which is only partly vector based.

^^ yeah you use the pen tool to make the lines .. which are vectors ... but in the end you dont fill the color as vectors and then flatten the image
this is a Real vector http://www.koenigsegg.se/pressroom/EPS_LOGO.EPS <<
