wow, I just saw on google Earth the imensity of the Islands and what has been acompplished in the lest 3-4 years! Amazing, I was seeing on Discovery when they started to build the first Palmie Island , the Jebel Ali...but now the second bigger one is done :shock:
put this in your Google Earth : "DUBAI" lat=25.0985227764, lon=55.1272998743
and youll see how small the Burj al Arab looks besides the Palmie Islands. Great stuff this city

hey MUS911.. temme sumthing.. i might be movin to dubai for a couple of months.. how much do u think are teh avg living expenses...
think in terms of a small room.. clean.. cockroaches wont do.. and basic expenses.
pleas help...

asid631, you can get a small Studio will cost about 49,000 AED, one bedroom 59,000, two betwroon, 79,000 Duplex per year contracts

Thank you for the info but i just need sumthing for 3 months... and sumthing cheap. becuz my job would be internship for three months (during which time i wont be paid much  ) and then based on my performance i might be offered a long term contract...
do u konw of any website or anyone i could contact for such accomodation.? preferably around 1500 aed per month... just a room would do.
any help would be thoroughly appreciated.

to find a studio at 1500 is little difficult specially in Dubai!!!
as (Dubai) mentioned above! rents r expensive 
or u have to stay in other emirate... u might find what ur looking for.
anyway ill try to get u some info, or websites regarding ur budget!

Dubai and MUS911, I really appreciate ur cooperation, it seems i underestimated living expenses a bit. Anyway, my office address is goin to be "The Gate Building 7th Floor West Wing PO Box 211012", If u could give me a simple rough estimate of food, transport and room rent to prepare for, i'll come a bit better prepared for my stay.
