Well, in one way they are right. If a company like Daewoo a.k.a. Chevolet is able to meet the safety restictions than why should a italian supercar maker have problems. If the ban really takes place, I wonder if Ferrari will be able to sell as many cars as bafore, in countries other than the US.

"One would think, however, that a company capable of building the Enzo and some of the best F1 cars in the world could figure out how to fix an airbag."

I'm sure they'll come with one solution or another...

Just remove the passenger seat all together - therefore no need for an airbag and you reduce the weight which improves performance.

That's what I have always said, Ferrari can't built a car

And to be serious, that make me wonder why there are so many different rules between each country. Is it so hard to agree on something???

It's just a joke, but I'll go hide in the mountain for a few years, as I'm sure you'll not be the only one to react this way

Sorry but this sounds like a load of bullshit.......
Lotus bribed their way out of that requirment for now
I'm pretty sure they wangle there way around it.

Noble for instance export there cars in parts nad build them in the states as kit cars before selling them - but this can only be done for very small production numbers....

If its good enough for europe and ncap, why not for the US? Their loss i guess

n cap is worried about pedestirans more then occupants... also, the bumper laws of the past helped the consumer more then anything else...

^ Don't worry, I was allready wearing my flame suit as well. I am just surprise by the lake of other reactions

Why worrying about pedestrian would make them worry about an airbag? Don't they know it's for the inside of the car?
