Default Nismo bargain for GT-R

http://www.worldcarfans.com/9090519....ble-for-rental

For just 3000USD, you can RENT the Nismo ECU for 1 year and pay 328USD for the subsequent year. Upon the end of the rental, NISMO reinstalls the original ECM and TCM modules.

That must be like the biggest bargain in the aftermarket industry.

You gotta give them credit for trying.....I don't think any self respecting company will try to pull of a stunt like this. (Well, maybe Ferrari FFX.....but that's abit different, and I am sure most will agree)

I thought the FXX was a stupid idea too. But that's different. First of all, you buy the car, you don't just rent it. Still, it's true that Ferrari has the last word on what you can do with it, and you have to actively participate in the program.

But this is just too hilarious. Which kinda makes sense considering that everything costs too much in Japan.

Check out this GT-R @ Ebay
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BRAND...3A1|240%3A1308

I bet the dealer has been putting too high of a markup for too long and now everyone wants a 2010 model.

I dont know - this sortof makes sense.

Think about it - you might spend $3000 on some ECU/exhaust mods. And void your warranty.

This way you "lease" the extra performance AND get to keep your warranty intact.

And this is probably how they did their "record" run
