Default Need new tires!

I'm actually interested in an a All-season Ultra High Performance Tire, as tire rack would put it. The Avon Tech M550 A/S are at the top of their charts and are only $119 a peice, someone was explaining the cheap price was due to Avon entering the U.S. market and trying to gain attention. Have any of you Europeans used Avon's before and how did you like it. Also does anyone else have any suggestions? Price is a factor, i would like to stay under $600, but i know that any other tire is going to put me in the $800 range. Thanks for the help!

BTW i'm on Y-Rated Micheline Pilot Sports with 25K miles on them, so this can't hold off to much longer with 9 inches of snow on my doorstep. I am what you call a procrastinator.

Haha, It's a GTI, it's the wheels you see on the R32.

My friend (StanAE86) said that the BF Goodrich's TDW Summer Tires are really good. Another friend of ours said the TDWS (Snow) are excellent as well.

Might be worth looking into:

I know the Micheline Pilot Sport A/S's are great! I have them on my saab here in Vermont and they work great in the snow and are fantastic in the dry. A little expensive but totally worth it.
