It's unfortunate to see what I thought was comrodarie vanish... particularly of those who've been here for some time, in that group.

damn dude...thats a nice list of options..

unfortunately i don't think you're going to be able to touch a pre 68 Camaro for cheap...In this part fo the country, at this time of year, they are all snuggled away in their garages

I used to know of a 68 Charger however that was just parked in front of the guys house..but he was never interested in parting with it..

Are you looking for an already restored one or one you want to do some work on?

I know of a place that has an Orange 1970 Plymouth GTX for 35,000usd with a 440 nestled under the hood..

They've always got some nice classics down there, but i don't think they have anything on your list ATM.

The Audi is getting into real power now.. hehehehe...
The RS2 is not giving you what you need I see ..

Congragulations on taking up a big project like this.. Hope you find what your looking for.. It will take you a while to get it the way you want it. It took me 2 years to build a Landrover 90 and I'm still not finished but It's fun every sec.. ohh forgot to tell you it's expensive but worth every penny.

The Audi are more than good enough for going fast, dont think I want to challenge an RS2 with track suspension with an muscle car from the 60-70`s....

But I want one cuz they look great got an great sound and I want something that are fun to work on as its not piled down with electronics and I hate to work with wiring and shit like that, but on an old american car there are not much electronics to work on mostly mechanical stuff...

But now your brother have bought an Audi it will not be long until you get your eyes up either....
LOL NeVeR...

If you want any hope of at least narrowing down your search to a few hundred potentials and have some manner of legitimacy to the listing,

Start here:

http://www.traderonline.com/

After that, you can simply hope that someone posts about some grand mother some where that has Junior's old muscle car tucked away in the barn waiting for him to return from "the war" and she will sell it to you cheap.

The reality is that the cars you listed are either cheap crap, or ungodly expensive - the middle ground has been almost picked clean.

Good luck.

Oh - and hope you have some money to spend

That GT40 is the shit! That is probably the only Ford I have ever wanted. Real or replica, I dont care. I dont really like the new one too much, but I absolutely love the old one!

$85,000 is a lot of money though.

The Camaro is nice too, always a classic.....and its not a Ford

^^ Tell me about it. Its hard to shop for a classic, too many options. I was set on a 67-69 Camaro or 64-66 Chevelle/Malibu when my brother took me to go see a 63 Nova, a car I never even gave much thought too. Needless to say, I saw it, drove it, bought it

Brembo are you building a pro touring car??
I think the best car for you is the 1969 camaro z28.
The where only first gen camaro's that where made for handling.
Here is good forum about the pro touring cars.
Good technical info and tricks.

Try cars.com or Auto trader.

I'm actually scouring them both at the moment for an early 2000 vette as a track whore. Might I suggest the camaro might be the best choice. It and the firebird would probably be the smallest of those cars, might be better for your smaller roads.
