I need Your Help, with M3 E30!
Hello guys, I come to you in a very urgent call...
A 87 BMW M3 (E30) has just appeared for sale here in brazil, at a very good price. I would like to know from u guys what should the Buyer (in this case, my father) be looking for when buying one of these cars???
The seller says the car has 76000km on the clock, and in the pictures the car seems to be in good order. We havn't had a chance to go visit it, yet, so all I have to judge the car on are the Pictures...
That is why I am askig for your help...Ideally i would take a mechanic to go visit it, but i do not know if it'll be possible..Are there any experts out there??
Thanks

As far as visual quality wise, it looks great, interior looks pretty damn flawless as well
I'd probably jump on this before anyone else did. How much does the owner want?

he's asking about 15K dollars
pretty good price...very cheap, because the car does not have this grand status here
I bet it's just another old car for them...

what's the stats on the E30? Hp, top speed, etc...??
EDIT: Never mind, i was just curious about Dani's claim that the car has 200+ Hp...well the one for sale is the base model, so it's 195 HP...But i still have to take a proper look...

Now my biggest problem would be the mileage...it just seems too little, and might have been changed...but one hopes it hasn't been...

always check the carpets, the...rubber things around the doors, signs of repainting in the bonnet and hinges of the doors, state of the gearbox, the oil pan must not look smashed to pieces or too new. the steering wheel will have signs of use, but not abuse.
Try all the gears at different speeds, don't turn on the stereo on your test drives (used-car salesmen do this to hide any strange noises...like me )
76k kms for that year is great, but I would look carefuly at every detail
