Maybe you were using Google-China for your search...

That's exactly what I was trying to tell him...

I personally think he should drive for a few more years to built up his skills, and then go for a modded Exige. Just a recipe for disaster otherwise.

Uhm - yeah.. I am sure you were..

And search for "lotus exige tuner" returned 144.000 hits - besides which, did you ever think that if a tuner could tune your Elise, then there is a really good chance they could answer any Exige questions you might have - and then tune the Exige.

I don't understand why you don't keep it naturally aspirated and save the weight and hassle of turbo or supercharging it. Look up Celica GT-S cams and heads, and lotus has there own exhaust system for the track. If you really wanted to go far you'de swap the engine for a Honda B series. http://www.brooke-kensington.co.uk/phond1.htm

also make sure u buy a new lotus then, with traction control...400hp mid-engined cars are never the safest thing in the hands of relatively inexperienced drivers, but without TC...it'd be bye-bye richardsonc...
btw even if i had the money and all to do it, i'd never tune my lotus that far...im afraid it would corrupt the driving experience...

Then again, I know of a number fo 16 and 17 year olds that have 6 or 7 years of racing experience and can drive/ride anything anywhere at anyspeed.. -- it just depends if you are raised as a race car driver and years of track time - or are simply going to cash some cheques to buy speed
