Pretty impressive stuff, but I couldn't help but laugh every time it understeered from putting so much power to the wrong wheels

^^^ you mean singular wheel . . . it's only 2 wheel drive

Heinrocket! That guy has an awesome job. Both the HHR "SS" and Cobalt "SS" have been impressive around the ring but I don't think they deserve the SS badge. This instead would be a great time to build credibility for GM's new sport moniker.

Now, the Cobalt "SS" will smoke N/A Civics, fight with the new fatter SRT4, and get blown away by Evos and WRX's in a straight line. That's squarely mediocre, not SS material.

This is silly, but awesome nonetheless. It does seem like a waste of SS badge, but if it does have something to show for it...

same story with the old SRT-4....the car was useless with extra power. The Cobalt is gonna be the same...
Time will tell.

FWD is uncool.... but compared to ALL other FWD cars in the US, IMHO, the Cobalt is in fact the best looking of them from a design standpoint, as well as build quality. Good on GM.

Ford, get off yer' asses, and bring the Mondeo here, bring the Focus RS here, get rid of the US korean looking focus.... bring back project Maranello!

Better quality than A3, for instance? Then Opel should stop selling Astras and start selling Cobalts

No Audi sold in the US is FWD to my knowledge. And, I agree on the second part.

Doesn't Audi sell the FWD A3 2.0TFSi? I've been doing some research and the Cobalt is like a mix between the old and the current Astra.

just checked audi's USA site. I've not seen any on the road yet, but it is sold here as FWD.

as to the astra vs. the cobalt. astra = not USA in any case
