Default You will enjoy these ! Updated !

Hi,

I was a very lucky bloke yesterday. When I woke up, I never thought I would be shooting VLN-cars in the afternoon. I had to get up quite early, had to take an oral exam on Saterday morning. My girlfriend's exam finished at almost 12 o'clock. When we got home she ask me whether I had any nice ideas on how to spend our afternoon. After talking about the VLN race at the Ring, she was convinced and off we were.
The race started at 12 and ended at 16 o'clock. We have to drive at least 2hours and a half ... So basicly, I was only able to shoot for 1 hour

Here are just a few pics of the most interesting cars. I'm planning to post more later on.
Click on the link beneath of the shown pictures for the High res version

Enjoy them

wow nice pics, and lucky u to have a gf whose idea of a fun afternoon is to watch a race 8)

ps just curious, how did the 997s perform compared to the 996 GT3s? since the 997 GT3RSRs so far havent been able to beat the ferrari F430s in the ALMS (dunno bout the LMS)...

Gucom,

To be honest, hard to say mate. All the different classes at these VLN-races make it hard to define and "looking at" a race through a viewfinder doesn't give you any advantages either though.
I can tell you one thing though; The GT3RSR's are KING 8) There is absolutely nothing that comes even close. When these cars have to retire then it's up to the Schall Opel DTM and the white Getrag BMW M3GTR.
That Aston DBRS9 (this is not a typo !!! The DBR9 is his much faster and much more expensive brother) doesn't come even near these GT3RSR's.

I'm a huge Porsche fan, I've always been. But I do miss the BMW M3 GTR's at the ring. That was one hell of a race car, it was such a pleasure seen it driven by Hans Joachim Stuck. They won the 24 hours 2 years in a row 8) It was just amazing

Cheers
