Please, help with digital camera.Canon vs Sony
I´m spanish,so excuse me for my bad english.
I´m thinking to buy a new compact digital camera and I doubt between Canon ixus 60 (or 65) and sony dsc w70.
Which do you think is better?? which one do you recommend me? more quality??
I hope you can help me to choose.
Thanks.

when it comes to point and shoot, its pretty hard to pick. depends which one you want to pay for. ive used both brands (don't confuse with exact models) and sometimes i wish they would combine with each other so i can have all functions from both cameras. if you want to a step up, then go for canons. ie canon S2/S3 or if you like go all the way and get a canon dslr

Ive been always a Canon man, but then again I bought a nikon instead of a canon. But still I think that Canon is a better buy then Sony, biggest advantage is the memory sticks. I hate those sony ones :x

I have always enjoyed the Canon Powershot (IXUS) line. I don't have much experience with Sony's Cybershot line though (not a Memory Stick fan), but I could definitely recommend Powershot to anybody looking for a pocketable camera.
I personally have the SD450 which is the IXUS 55.

I agree with the others: as far as you are looking into compact cameras, you can't go wrong with a Canon model
