Default Top Gear Australia: 1st Episode Preview - with pics

I am going to hold my breath on this one.
Episode 1 of 8:

If you thought the Brits had done it all with Top Gear - wait until you see Top Gear Australia, debuting on SBS Television on Monday 29 September at 7:30pm.

In the first episode of an eight-part series, hosts Charlie Cox, Warren Brown and Steve Pizzati play hard with all-wheel drives on sand and snow.

There is a glimpse of the new LP560 Lamborghini Gallardo super sportscar, Charlie test drives the latest Porsche 911 and Warren tests the appetite of Great White Sharks off the coast of Port Lincoln – using himself as the bait.

One of Australia’s hottest actors, Vince Colosimo (starring in SBS’s Carla Cametti, PD), is Top Gear Australia’s first studio guest.

“Surf, snow, sand, sharks and supercars - episode one of Top Gear Australia has got the lot!” said Top Gear Australia’s SBS Executive Producer, Denise Eriksen.

“Charlie, Warren and Steve - well, Charlie and Steve - have driven like stars and Warren has done his best with sharks and sausages.”

“SBS is incredibly proud of this first episode in an amazing new series which takes Australia's passion for cars in exciting new directions.”

Top Gear Australia debuts on SBS, Monday 29 September at 7:30pm.

To be honest, if it were called anything else, I wouldn't have a negative feeling on these 3 blokes. From the screenshots, it looks like a perfectly entertaining show. If only...

I'm a little disappointed about the first cars. SUV's, how boring...But they do have a moke there, could be redeeming...?

Jury is out on this one. I just don't think it should have been done. Leave it to Clarkson, Hammond and May I say. I will however give it a chance.

hey I think you can blame Jeremy Clarkson for this. He owns the world wide rights to Top Gear

I think it'll be good, they do have cars in Australia, and some roads.

In regards to the show, does Australia get a manual version of the GT-R? It's news to me if they do...

i just checked out the first episode of TG Australia, and i must say it isn't all that bad... the presenters aren't boring, they do a good job at presenting and they're skilled drivers (except for the cartoonist ). but they're no clarkson, may and hammond either.

will definitely be checking out the second episode ... a ford gt with an agressive sounding exhaust spitting flames out at the same time? i just have to see it
