BTW, just connected a USB wireless keyboard mouse combo.. works like a champ. Next test will be a USB harddrive.

Looks like Sony have the USB support thing covered.

Windows may be the commercial king, but XBox360 is a technical disaster compared to PS3.

Not yet sure what videos can all be directl viewed - for sure the MP4's my Kodak digicam takes are not supported.

also I will be returning the RF wireless KB tomorrow.. interferes with the RF signal of the PS3 controller.

So I dug out an old Compaq IR wireless keyboard/track ball from 1998 - used SP2-connector to USB adapter Y-cable and it works.. like a champ.

I hate the XBox360 more with every hour

But - the wife finally showed an interest in and HD TV today.. she has an eye on a 73" Mitsubishi super-duper jon.. 1080p and the works.

So depending how good this soming quarter is, i have "permission" for us to upgrade our aging Mistu Diamondscan 60"

This may be a reprieve for the XBox360 hehe

wow...given the FFB troubles, backwards compatibility problems and the lack of appeal on Ebay...i don't think Nintendo could have hoped for a better outcome

i've seen the graphics on the PS3 first hand and tried to play one of the games but good god what a load of crap. And until you mentioned it, i didn't even notice the lack of vibration in the controller

I'll go plop down 360 bucks for a Wii now

Uhm exactly how do you think the blue-teeth travel around the room?

Why its RF..

SO far all PS2 and PS1 titles I tried worked.. I dug up my old PC Logitech Momo FFB wheel, the one with the thick contoured rubber wheel and stick shift (only 200 degrees of rotaiton) but the good news is that its FFB motor is activated during really extreme turns.. so it actually works quite well with GTHD.

Did I already mention that the G25 works properly with GT4?

Today I removed the DVD player from the living room - Mr PS3 is going to do double duty from now on

Then again, we played the Wii at the store.. very uninspiring... those "action" games will get onl after a while, they got old in 10 minutes at the store..

My bro has the Wii and its ok but definatly not aw-inspiring but definatly good technology to think about for future consoles.

Zelda definatly is the best game for the system as MGS4 will be for PS3
I've played the Rayman game extensively and while the graphics may not be that high above the PS2, the game play is fun as hell.

Nintendo needs to fire out the next Mario Party game quick if they want to drive another nail into the PS3's coffin. Mario Kart is going to be insanely fun.

I want to play Call of Duty 3 though and see how that one goes. If the shooting levels of Rayman are any indication, it should be alot of fun.
Obviously people like RC who just want graphics and endless extra capabilities aren't going to be amused by the Wii, but then again these are the people that subscribe to Xbox Live and let their butts take root in the couch when playing.

Thanks for the vid, RC, I look forward to watching this.

If you fancy doing any more then I would suggest a car and track as you mentioned but I do not know the carlist.

I bet there are a couple of Skylines though
