Default New Ascari A10

Currently undergoing rigorous testing in advance of its summer 2006 release, the A10 is the next generation Ascari dream drive. Engineers at Banbury and at the exclusive RaceResortAscari racetrack, are committed to ensuring this 220mph supercar delivers a knockout blow to the competition. In addition, just like its highly desired KZ1 cousin, the 1280kg A10 will be just as elusive, with just 50 to be hand-built at Banbury, and even more exclusive with a price tag of around £350,000.

Power will come from a 600bhp 5-litre V8 engine, with a six-speed manual as standard and a sequential gearbox available as an option. With a six-piece carbon fibre body, fixed rear wing and distinctive headlight configuration, the A10 is destined to be a head-turner, says the company. Chris Burton from Ascari says, "We are extremely excited by the prospect of launching the A10. This car's roots are in the racetrack, making it a truly inspiring driving machine, yet refined enough by design to be driven every day as a supercar."

Not really a head-turner ... Maybe nicely enginering but as, Richard said, this is not enough in this market.

BMW's old V8 (the one in the last M5)

I feel sorry for the Ascari company thought... they attempted to market the car's exclusivity, but instead, they're being snubbed by the very market that values exclusivity.

They even put all this effort into a building a race track and all... poor chaps.

I hope all manufacturers start naming their cars after ISO paper sizes.

Yellow makes it looks like a kit car more than an exotic. Too much like the Raptor, and definitely not a head turner. (I thought turn my head becoz of the sound of the engine...but definitely not from the looks of the car)

Uhm, why to dump the KZ1 already? For sure it's getting old, but it never really seemed to get a grip in the market

I wonder what kind of mods they had to do to get 600hp from the old M5 engine. I've always kinda liked the ascari, but it seemed to be a little too conservative in the looks department for me to consider it a full fledge super car.

All sounds good, but I still feel it lacks something... It's too normal looking, I guess. :bah:
