good old displacement N/A power will always win over a turbo/supercharged motor IMO. but the 5.0L mustang motors are beast they can take a lot of power with min. mods. but the z06 is only going to make more and more euros bend over.

Yes. I meant to say "has" not "as". Also PWR = Power to Weight.

It may have what, 750 CRANK BHP but it still weighs 600lbs more than the F1.

As I said though: I give the car props.

^^ it doesn't have an official time, the same that a Murcielago doesn't have an official time.

Ah, the Veyron was developed at the ring - unlike the Mclaren which never touched it. I could ask the same question for the C6 Z06

Is that for the F1 or the Murcielago? I know that the M has gone around faster, driven by a magazine hack, and as far as I'm aware there is no recorded time for an F1 attacking the 'Ring.

murcielago in 7:50, gallardo 7:52...

the F1... well, it all depends on what you optioned your F1 out with... unlike cars like the Enzo, CGT, and SLR; and every other REAL production car... such things aren't options to owner preference.

so, cirtain F1's might be very fast around a track; like the ring... while others are just fairly quick... which is why i think any 'track times' the F1 records are mostly arbitrary.

Default GeigerCars SC 524 Kompressor

GeigerCars SC 524 Kompressor For Corvette C6
Text & Photos courtesy Geigercars.de GmbH
04-04-2006

524 hp / 386 kW, 637 Nm, 0–100 km/h in 3.7 s, V/max 325 km/h

GeigerCars.de SC 524 Kompressor – that’s the name of the new especially powerful version of the current Corvette C6 which is available with manual gearbox or automatic transmission. Its performance speaks for itself: The supercharged V8 delivers 524 hp / 386 kW and produces a peak torque of 637 Nm. Thus equipped the two-seater – coupe or convertible – accelerates in just 3.7 seconds from rest to 100 km/h and reaches a top speed of 325 km/h. GeigerCars.de (www.GeigerCars.de) offers customers a choice of either buying fully converted cars starting at 87,990 Euros or of converting their existing cars to GeigerCars.de specifications.
The engine specialists of Europe’s leading tuner of American cars have developed a supercharger conversion for the six-liter V8 engine of the Corvette C6 that is available in two different versions: The GeigerCars.de SC 524 specification costs 23,371 euros, including installation and precision calibration on the test bench. This price includes the Eaton screw-type supercharger which is driven via a cogged belt directly by the crankshaft. It comes with an integrated water-cooled intercooler.
The conversion further includes a more efficient air intake system with two sport air filters and a special throttle, a stainless-steel high-performance manifold, metal catalysts and the GeigerCars.de stainless-steel high-performance exhaust system with four large tailpipes. Newly programmed engine electronics coordinate the optimal interaction of all new performance components. Special ventilation holes in the newly designed hood provide improved airflow in the engine bay.
With its 524 hp / 386 kW at 6,190 rpm and its peak torque of 637 Nm the Corvette C6 with GeigerCars.de SC 524 Kompressor engine is among the world’s most powerful sports cars. And with a sprint time of 3.7 seconds from 0 – 100 km/h and a top speed of 325 km/h the sports car from Munich is also among the world’s fastest street-legal cars of its kind.
As an alternative there is the GeigerCars.de SC 493 Kompressor conversion which sells for 17,366 Euros. The difference in price and the difference in power output of 31 hp / 23 kW stem from the fact that this version does without the special throttle, the high-performance manifold, metal catalysts and sport exhaust. The modifications to the engine electronics reflect the conversion differences.
GeigerCars.de also takes the increased power output into consideration when it comes to aerodynamics, wheels, suspension and brakes.
The GeigerCars.de front apron was designed to be simply exchanged for the production bumper, thanks to its excellent precise fit and the retention of the original mounting points. The large oval-shaped air inlet provides ample supply of cooling air for radiator, oil cooler and the air conditioning system. The lateral openings are designed to optimize the flow of cooling air to the front brakes. The integrated front spoiler reduces aerodynamic lift on the front axle.
The GeigerCars.de rear apron was also designed to simply replace its production counterpart. Its upper end features a longer separation edge, which in combination with the diffuser integrated into the lower part reduces lift on the rear axle. In addition the GeigerCars.de rear apron lends the Corvette an even more striking rear appearance.
The GeigerCars.de sill edges are available in two versions with or without additional air ducts for improved cooling of the rear brakes.
The multi-piece GeigerCars.de chrome wheels in size 9.5Jx20 in front with 255/30 ZR 20 tires and in size 11Jx20 with 305/25 ZR 20 tires on the rear axle are as striking in appearance as they are beneficial for the car’s handling characteristics. The set costs 6,999 euros.
GeigerCars.de furthermore offers various options for tuning the suspension of the new Corvette. The list of products ranges from a lowering kit that lowers the ride height of coupe or convertible by some 30 millimeters to a GeigerCars.de sport suspension with struts that replace the production transversal leaf springs for even more dynamic handling, to sport sway bars for front and rear axles.
To keep the enormous performance potential of the SC 524 Kompressor safely in check at all times GeigerCars.de offers two versions of a high-performance brake system for the C6 model. The front-axle system, available for 4,175 Euros, consists of vented and perforated 355 x 32-mm brake disks and four-piston aluminum fixed calipers. For an additional 3,595 Euros the GeigerCars.de sport brake system can be expanded with 345 x 32-mm disks and four-piston aluminum fixed calipers on the rear axle.
Naturally GeigerCars.de also offers exclusive interiors for the Corvette C6: The list starts with carbon applications for dashboard, center console and door trim, and culminates in masterfully crafted fully leather interiors in any color and design imaginable.
