95 and 98 ron over here. Vpower is 100ron.

95 ron is equivalent of 89 pon or something like that in the USA.

We get 95 and 98 over here in New South Wales. 98 is used primarily for more expensive cars, usually European makes.

http://www.btinternet.com/~madmole/R...RONMONPON.html

PON = (RON+MON)/2

87, 89, 91, 94 (all in PON)

what mattk said but we also have 100RON from shell but it has 5% ethanol. quite stupid really because no one is going to pay for it. the average user won't bother with it coz the price is sky high and secondly it won't make any difference to most cars

i want to point out that 100RON is very common in Japan. however, only the rex's evo' and skylines are going to notice any difference. but it doesn't matter coz they have plenty of those sort of cars.

Is that the Shell V-Power? I only use the 95 RON for my parents' car.

Hmm.... i'll have a look next time i pop in for petrol at my Tesco. It's not actually that much different.

Optimax and BP Ultimate have additive/cleaning agents etc... but i reckon Tesco 99 is just a higher octane rating, without any of the bnefits o Optimax/ultimate :bah:

In the Midwest it is 87 - 89 - 93 with the ocassional 91 thrown in to replace the 93. And alot of stations around here offer 105 and 110 racing fuel 105 is purple and 110 is a pinkish color, both are about 50 cents more than the last. The reason racing fuel is soo common here is because of all the lakes here (i.e. Lake County) and the boats use it for racing.

we got 92/95/98 in Lithuania. Few years ago Shell were selling and V-Power ,but no more Shell gas stations at all! Only Neste/Statoil/Lukoil and some Lithuanian stations
and 82/92/95/98 in west Russia

Why isn't Shell selling in Lithuania anymore? Not profitable?
