Default Lingenfelter Corvette C6 Z06 630hp at idle

Lingenfelter Performance Engineering managed to free an extra 125 NA hp out of the LS7 engine!
At $8,695.00 for the conversion it's quite a bargain if you ask me! If I lived in the US, I would definately like to get me one of those... 8)

There's not much action in this clip, but the sound is just great!

A few months ago EVO magazine tested a 616 bhp Lingenfelter Z06 around Bedford and said it was faster than a 599 GTB and a Gallardo and just a tenth behind a Koenigsegg CCX! And now this version has an extra 15 bhp, very scary...

Check it out here:

Standard C6 Z06, 997 GT3, I'll pick the later.

But this......I will give up the 997 GT3 (that is just a ted this side of giving up your wife) for.

I don't think the vid sound do the real car any justice either.

These power figures are based on the vehicle having long tube headers on the car when it arrives at LPE. LPE sells and recommends the American Racing Headers $1,695.00 for this application not including installation.

C6 ZO6 LS7 616 BHP package - $5,495.00

good deal.. but that extra brings it near 7K.. and then you might as well go for the $8700 deal..
only reason i think its a good deal is warranty
other wise i'm sure you can get the parts and have them fitted for less.. much less..

then again i guess when it comes to 80K plus cars people aren't looking to saving a few bucks here and there..

Heheh, so does that mean you'll get a speeding ticket right after you turn the ignition key?

This exhaust is quite "extreme" I mean I like that but I don't know if I would bare it everyday ...

Yep, but that's the same with all supercar vids. The sound irl is so much more characterful and richer than in a vid.

However, the difference is perhaps not quite as marked as you’d expect with a 110bhp boost. Next we visited WRC Technologies in Silverstone to put the Lingenfelter Z06 on the Dyno Dynamics rolling road. It showed a strong gain but couldn’t better 552bhp. Not bad, but we’d hoped the magic number might start with a ‘6’. David Yu is now in discussion with Lingenfelter to see if some of the horses drowned somewhere mid-Atlantic. Just imagine how fast it’ll be when it’s running the full 616bhp…
the LPE 616 hp car makes 560 rwhp once broken in... this car seems to not have had the obligitory 1000 mile break in period yet.

LPE are obsessed with making each car hit very specific numbers on the intertial chassis dyno before ANY car is delivered.

EVO's accel. numbers conclude that they are fairly poor at launching, and drag racing cars w/out "launch control" type aids. I know people who can take thier 100% stock C6 Z06 with 460 RWHP to 11.5 in the 1/4 mile, and 0-60 in 3.6 time and time again.

Shitness. Can't wait.

I wouldn't be surprised if someone got even more out of this engine NA, seems like it has lots of potential.
Imagine if "someone" not only got more out of that motor NA, but put it into a C5 Z06.. ??
