I think they did that to make it more squat, more muscley as this is going to be more of a sports aston compared with the db9 and vanquish which are gt's. Even if this doesent quite compare to a 911 in its performance abilities id definately take this every time over one, i reckon the best looking "new" aston yet... they really have got their arse in gear now
Plans are a 370bhp est 170mph top speed and a 0 - 60 of 4.5s which suggests this is going to be a pretty light car as thats about the same acceleration as a 360 but dosent have as much hp. Which in turn suggests good handling

Squat or no, it still looks a little odd to me. When I get home to Michigan I'll see about PS-ing the pictures to put on some different headlamps and see about posting those.

BMW should fire Chris Bangle, and hire Henrik Fisker. One of the most beautiful car they have made in the last couple of years, the Z8, was also designed by him!
It really looks stunning, but if they are up to beating the Porsche 911 they have to make great progress on the quality. It is one of the things Porsche is known of. It can be used as an everydaycar

I'm glad AM didn't stray away from the design of the concept too much. It looks almost identical! And tthat's really a good thing. What a stunning car!!!
I'm surprised some people here can't tell the difference between this, the DB9 and a Vanquish. I don't have trouble with it and I don't mind at all that all AMs have the same design language. It's a great look. Not choosing a 911 was never this easy!

As all the Astons it's classical, it has a very clean design but also it's very impressive! Lovely car

Dammn this is fastly becoming my most desireable car lol. I think it is damn close to perfection. This car is supposed to be faster than the DB9 obviously more expensive too. They showed one in 5th gear cant remember at which auto show. It looked great then, but now in the light, it is PERFECT.

Actually this is a DB5, only the concept car (first at Detroit motor show) was called V8. It will be on sale next year, will cost around 90.000€, it will have 370 hp, but there'll be an R version with around 500
