Well:
> Maserati is under the wings of Ferrari.
> Ferrari & Lancia are under the wings of FIAT
> GM has a ?majority? stake in FIAT
so what's really Italian

Well,

as far as I know GM has at least a 20% stake in the automotive division of FIAT and FIAT has signed MoU with GM in 2002 which gives GM the first rights to buy the remaining 80% of shares between 2004 and 2009.
FIAT automotive is still making huge losses, inspite of the booming sales of Ferrari's and Maserati's in the USA. As they are really suffering from the 'low' dollar.

GM want out of Fiat it's reducing at 10% and in future 0%

Fiat has alfa, lancia, ferrari, maserati but this factory when aren't on fiat are the best for many aspect.
Enzo Ferrari worked at Alfa Romeo, lancia, maserati won in F1
i think taht italian style is pininfarina,giugiaro,bertone..ecc..the car are made by industrial factory, the car make by hands are the original car,Pagani Zonda!!!or old ferrari, maserati, lancia or alfa.

ford with jaguar?i think as the same brithis cars are buy american or germany

Back on topic: I really like the Italian sportscars, any make, which are made untill, let say, 1990.

We could say the same thing for english cars, Rolls is BMW, Bentley is VW, Jaguar is Ford, Land Rover too, only Rover came back in england few years ago but was BMW for some times and is not in very good health
Hopefully, there are a lot of car manufacturers like TVR, Radical, Caterham and much more that are here to show that England is a great fatherland for cars.
Thanks for them to exist !

I live in US and i just can't wait until the year 2006 comes. Then the beautiful ALFA ROMEOs will make the horrible Japanese cars look like exactly what they are: Ugly.

I wonder why FIAT looks so dull in comparison to other italian art on wheels

I also wonder when the Lamborghini will stop using that horrible designer who happens to be Belgian.
