That is the most disguisting thing I have even seen!
Take the Osman brothers from Sydney – Zahir Osman, 23, Bashir, 31, and Steve, 20, brother-in-law Abdul and cousin Michael – who created a one-of-a-kind convertible Subaru Impreza.
They started with a rare Subaru Impreza WRX STi worth about $57,000, but it wasn't rare enough for them.
Three years and another $175,000 later, the Osmans plus a group of friends and relatives have produced a convertible with a custom-made, fully automated roof, while the driver sits in the middle of the car with a centrally mounted steering wheel.
"I wanted something completely crazy," Zahir Osman says.
"Turning a four-door WRX into a two-door convertible is something I think no one has done before.
"To be honest, I'm not really sure if it's street legal, but it's really a car for showing, not for driving on the street, anyway."
The STi's already formidable turbo-charged 2.0-litre boxer engine had to make way for a fully worked 2.5-litre version producing about 500kW on the dynamometer.
Then there's the obligatory ear-splitting sound system with six speakers, six woofers and four amps, as well as a television and a Sony PlayStation2. Many of the new panels and components were custom-made for the car, which was built in Zahir's garage.
"Nothing's been bought off the shelf," Zahir boasts. "It's all been modified."
Between them the Osmans have 20 cars, including two more WRXs displayed next to the convertible.
