No they shouldn't promote it more.. thats all we need - yet more 'cheap thrill" publicity surrounding high performance cars.

Sadly this hobby (like sport bikes) is now a social stigma.

Well, how is he supposed to replace his CGT if no one knows the movie.....On all the boards I visit, this is the first one I saw this movie beeing talked about, and on the Myspace page , he has only 100 friends....I dont know how many people know about this movie. If you remember, when Fast and Furios Tokyo Drift appeared, everyone knew about the movie months ahead.

What I mean is "no they don't need to promote it" - as in please don't promote it.

I and others DON'T want this kind of crap turning people against sports cars, the way the general public is againast sport bikes.

So when I say they don't need to promote it, it's not because every one already knows about it, it's because no one knows about it - and we should keep it that way.

If all the movie needed was "cars" then you are no different to the ricers and the FnF crowd...
While Im sure the plot will suck and it will be a poor movie.. I have to say this thread title is a bit of an oxy moron and this statement is a bit off..
Fnf and good cars dont belong in the same sentence. Theyve had like 3 real performance cars (not just fake shells) in total.. And they over inflated their numbers in each case.

There was a booth at the LA Auto Show for this movie. They had a Koenigsegg, Enzo, 2 Carrera GTs (and yes, one of them was completely destroyed) and Ford GT I think. They showed some footage of the movie and it looked ok but it isnt something that I would probably pay to see.

Well - if they didn't CG enhance the wreck, it won't be what the FnF crowd are used to seeing - obviously no fireball or 100 roll-overs.

Looking at the trailer, I'd say the crash is 100% fake.

From looking at the above pics, I'd say some silly actor (probably the woman) drove the car through a garage door, while selecting first instead of reverse gear by mistake.

A movie for 12 year olds by 12 year olds. What a waste.

I just saw the trailer on SpeedTV. It definately smells of F&F, but with superior cars. Plenty of booty and some pretty ruthless rides. I'll probably watch it if only to see the cars.
