Default Woman crashes Carrera GT

Oh my! And yes, it's a woman. During a testdrive this weekend a woman lost control over the Porsche Carrera GT. The woman en the passenger were staying in a hotel in Ootmarsum (Holland) and could borrow the car from another guest in the hotel. The drive ended after 1 km....

The car hit a couple of trees and got split in half. The passenger was lightly wounded. The woman driving got seriously injured.

Such a shame!

A bad accident indeed

It appears that the cockpit part of the car remains intact during a crash - similar to the Enzo crash a few months back.

I don't want to judge, but crashing a car 1km into a test drive might indicate a lack of respect for such a car - maybe the woman thought a CGT could be driven like any other car :bah:

I hope she recovers alright

Well I am glad to see both driver and passanger alive.. Sad about the CGT..

How the hell do someone crash a car after 1km at least drive it slow for the first few Km to get the feel of the car then floor it.. I really am not sorry for the owner to tell you the truth. He should have known better. He should have at least sat in the passanger side ans tell her to take it easy..

How cold is it in Holland at the moment? Perhaps the driver skidded due to poor traction on a cold tarmac. And seeing as it's a CGT as well, not all too surprising that someone wanting to push the car a bit too much, just lost it.

Oh well...

Maybe the car has unpredictable handling

Indeed, the same goes for that Zonda that crashed. So if you want to be safe in a crash, don't buy a 5star euro ncap car but a carbonfibre supercar...

So he just met this woman in his hotel a couple hours earlier and he let her drive his extremly rare and expensive supercar... she must have been hot!! She certainly not a captain slow type driver like most women.

Sad about the CGT...

That really sucks...but it just shows how much respect must be given to a car like the CGT. A crash after 1km...barely 1/2mi, what is that...5 minutes of driving at most? That shows some serious lack of respect for 600+hp, even if that car has AWD and electronic nannies you shouldn't be pushing it after just 1km, and this car is RWD and will definitely bite.

It was quite cold this weekend, at Sunday evening it was about -5, so your theory could be possible

I guess I didn't make my point clear...which is that, even WITH awd, and electronic nannies a car with 600+hp should be treated with respect...and this car doesn't have either of those, so it demands even more respect.

edit:
oops: does have tcs, haha
