Thanks for posting the article! Notice the bore/stroke, construction, basic valvetrain, and ecus are the same for both motors. I'm sure it would take next to nothing to make the DB9 match the Vanquish's output.

As for the handling, note that the DB9 has narrower wheels and tires. I'm also curious about the gearing of each car. As I have always said, I believe the DB9 is a couple calibrations + bigger wheels/tires away from being the better performer of the 2.

Thanks again for the scan, was a very interesting read.

My personal choice would still be the DB9 - performance is close enough to the Vanquish but it looks alot better IMO.

based on price the Vanquish S is tough to justify....plus the DB9 has a real gearbox
