I would think that would increase the weight, not decrease it.
I think there already is a lambo door kit you can buy aftermarket for the corvette. But if chevrolet tried to do that from the factory, god only knows what the fit and finish of that would look like. Kust one more thing that could go wrong wit the car IMO.
For the corvette...simple is better. Simple is functional. Simple is less expensive.

ok... here's the closest to a scoop i could manage from my GM source
GM has built the blue-devil, and is running some seriously high figures.... if in power, wight, or both, he wouldn't tell me
no comments much beyond that... this Blue devil is quite secret @GM... i doubt to see any form of production model; but i would love to see it as an SLP OEM.
as time goes on, i'll keep on pestering

Yeah - sounds about right - "my" insider says that the "blue devil" is the C6R mule.

I think he was suggesting lambo scissor doors for the GT - so solve the problem of getting into the car when you only have limited door swing room.

The Z06 is a good looking car, much more the the previous Corvette, but I do still prefer the Ford GT and it's just a bit more exclusive. Still, I'm curious how the Z06 will do on the NS.

Well - be curios no more - I have heard from 2 very diverse sources what the time was.
And it is probably too much for you guys to comprehend and absorb.
Had I only heard from one source, I would have my doubts - but having it corroborated is all I needed.
