Man that sucks, and you still don't want to go back to XP?

I agree with RC, there really isnt a "need" to have Vista.. Gates is gonna have a hard time convincing everyone that they NEED Vista unless they stop supporting XP.

XP will be good for atleast another 3-5 years...

But I don't know how you can still use Windows 2000.. it can take forever to startup (compared to XP) and will make you reboot more often when installing software.

Ill be fine with XP for a while.

I never need any OS features...

I guess people want mac type of software bundle. That all you do is install the OS and all the software that you will ever need is built in...I'll install my own software.

Personaly to me windows is a platform to install other programs on. Only windows software I use is IE.

It'll just a be DX10 gaming platform for me......vista I mean.

I don't need Vista, but I'll admit that I do want it. I like the way it looks.

What I really want is a stripped down, barebones OS. Windows has always been bloated with a million programs I neither want or use. It would be nice to just get an operating system that come with nothing. Let me add what I want.

WOW factor has been working for all windows users since Windows 95. Regardless of how ridiculous ppl think of Vista, it will be widely used in 1~2 years. Why bitch about memory when memory is cheap. Do you complain about JW video size being bigger? Hey, remember the rule, nothing comes for free.

I don't forsee myself installing vista until some game or software requires me to have vista. The driver support is quite poor right now, and all the desktop theme things I already have on xp so there's no real reason for me to want it.

Driver support isn't bad at all.. which is a little suprising.

Although there are still a good amount of programs from XP that will not run on Vista.

Give it a few months before all the little software companies and make new versions.

I do like running vista on my laptop from work. I just don't know if I'm going to install Vista on my new desktop I plan on building in the next couple months. I'll probably install both XP and Vista and decide from there...

I'd only upgrade my PC with Vista after the first Service Pack comes out. I dont want to participate in the public paid beta.

Well it sure looks fancy and shit..........But driver support is poor. The Catalyst 7.1 is buggy......My X-fi shit doesnt work at all.

Few games dont work because they say I have no dx9.....but I think its tsh Catalyst issue.

I think you will have to wait until the end of the year. I heard that MS is actually rushing it out a bit.

A lot of businesses are with you in thinking that they don't want to be beta testers. Haha.

Future...Just have it on one of my secondary drives.

Im not using Vista for work/gaming now.....just too much shit that doesnt function properly, and bad drivers. I think it'll be a while till it can be as hassle free as XP.
