Default XBOX 360 and LCD

Ok, i had to do it. I went out and bought an XBOX 360 on the release date and I just got a 32" LCD TV. The graphics on the TV look absolutly amazing. I opted to get the wired controllers because im not a huge fan of wireless because it occasionally misses an input and i didnt want to hassle with the batteries. I havnt had any of the problems that other people seem to be having with it freezing, i think people are letting it get overheated. It puts out an ENORMOUS amout of heat out the back, and it the only console ive ever seen with 2 cooling fans.

Ill try to get some pictures of the gameplay later, but I have to go do a few things before I can get to that.

Looks like a good setup. Is your TV also HD ready? I really do think the whole xbox360 over heating thing, is all over exaggerated over the internet. I on the other hand have 2 wireless controllers, they actually never miss a beat, but i am on my 3rd pair of batterys. But to be fair I played it quite alot and so have my brothers and sisters.

^ You've done well to get through 3 sets of batteries since the release date! I think my logitech PS2 wireless is still on its original set (12 mths!)

Viper. I (as I am sure others would too) be very interested in seeing Forza on the 360. So, if you are getting some pics, please get a few Forza shots for us?

Forza uses emulation on the 360... and everything I have read is that is quite slow and unplayable.

so very true, I got the 360 and Forza and whenever i'm in a race with other computer opponents it lags big time as if I was playing online, but the game works just fine if I'm alone in a timed race.

Amen to that, im workin on getting the pics right now, and yes, the TV is HD ready. Forza does kinda suck on the 360, it chops occasionally and with some cars the sound goes all screwy. And i apolagize for the shitty quality of the pics, but i really need to buy a new digital camera.

PGR3:

Forza:

I like the fact that Forza has real race tracks to race on, but i hate that it is an emulation :2gunfire: . Anyone know if they are going to make a Forza 2 for the 360?

Nice.

Thanks for the pics, Forza does look very good, shame to hear it doesnt play so well though.

I think we can safely assume there will be a Forza sequel for the 360...

it has both, i have the component on mine. the core edition comes with just the regular yellow input (DVI?), but i went ahead and got the component cables to go with the HD TV.

The "yellow"o cnnector is an RCA video jack.. DVI is that fancy schmancy wide multi-pin digital connector

It seems forza aint the only game that plays choppy. I played ssx3 and that was also choppy and the sound sucked on it.

I think HMDI is Video & Audio, DVI is just carrying a video signal only.

My plasma has a DVI input but I dont have anything else DVI at the present time.

Thanks RC. I feel retarded, i just forgot what DVI is, I have it on my video card, i just forgot what it was called.

But no, the XBOX 360 does not have a DVI connector (neither does my TV).
