Default So, I bought a bike...

Well, it happened quite quickly.

After some brainstorming I realized a big Harley won't fit my present needs and would also be too expensive, even if second hand.
The BMW RT1100S I was about to test is too big and too much of a long distance weapon..

The other day while going from my office to a client nearby, I passed in front of a small bike dealer and there I saw it...

2001 Ducati Monster 900cc, 8500 km, only one careful owner, custom color (light blue.. delicate, but much better than the obvious red or yellow ones), perfect shape...

Today I paid for it and if all goes well, Friday I'll take it home once it will have its plates

Can't wait!

Monster - that's my brother's dream bike. Cool!

You still have the 911 and A4 right?

Yup, I passed the 165'000 km on the 964 today and I didn't touch the A4 since june I think

I also found a nice white 3.2 911, but I fear my funds are at their lowest atm

Always wanted a 911, ever since I was a little kid; always wanted a Ducati too! I nearly bought a 900 SS years ago but backed out, intimidated by the Desmo thing ( I like to do all my own work). Now I wish i would've got it, the price was great and I have discovered the workings of the desmo is not Voodoo afterall. NJOY that thing. Is Switzerland as bad as the auto-media says, re: anti-car and bike?
It's a 2001 model, so no more carbs and welcome the fuel injection

And yes, IMO it will be a nice garage with the Porsche and Ducati side by side
Switzerland when you're used to it, isn't that anti-car/bikes afterall, and Italy is just 15 minutes away

Hehe, don't worry, of course I've got aims over my first F car too, but first I want to "get laid" with some cheapest machinery

To borrow a saying ... "Once you go Italian, you don't go back".

I like the way you are working you way up the sports car ladder. I'm sure at the end of it you will have good memories and experiences from various cars to share with your grandchildren..

HAHA, that is if I'll ever have grandchildren think about it: they cost a fortune and with that kind of money, I could add many more cars to the stable

I like the way you seem to think you can control whether you will kids and grandkids or not. You GF or wife will be taking the decision. You are just the seeder. Stud on demand is the what I am alluting to.

Well played sir, I had lost a bit of your hard earned respect after al that Harley talk but the 900M is a great bit of kit.

So many lovely things you can do to those beauties too.

High level Termignonis
All sorts of cans
Marcherensi Wheels

Although I ave heard the early fuel injected bike can be a bit snatchy this can be fixed on a dyno, which you'd need to do when you chage the exhausts.

Please start your own project page.

Loving you mileage in the 964 too, and it's the best colour.

Well done sir!
