Default GM Corvette C6 GT2 race car details released! And it looks awfully familiar...

The GT2 race car will be based on the ZR1. At least in looks.

Hydroformed aluminum frame made by Dana with steel roll cage. Still developed by Pratt & Miller.
6.0L "destroked" V8.
From 2010, 5.5L or smaller V8. LS3 head and block. ~500hp.

Apparently Jaguar is looking to enter its XK race car into the GT2 series. They already have the GT3 race car. It shouldn't be too much of a stretch.

Its just the ZR1 fenders, the waterfall hood is similar to the GT1 and some aftermarket hoods.

Note the absence of rear brake duct vents in the fenders, the vents are on top of the rear deck.

The rear fenders seem a lot like the C6RS rear fenders.

That's pretty much it. ZR1 ducts. And the blacked out roof. What's under the skin is much more interesting. 6.0L LS7 and 5.5L LS3...
