BMW Z2
It seems that the upcoming smallest Z car is under way. Read all about it here: http://prophetofnoise.com/z4coupeadd....php?p=736#736
This seems like a great idea with no direct rival.

Drop a tuned E36 M3 engine in the Z1 and cruise with the doors down all day long. 8)

It's an 'an artist's illustration'. They do that a lot at Autobild.
That said, I don't think it's a bad idea. Looks pretty. And the Z4 has really gone upperclass, so there's indeed room for a cheaper roadster in the range.

A price competitive with the MX-5, Solstice, and SKY.

The head lights are very Audi'ish. But I like it... I would buy it. I've always done small cars. It's been a while since I've had a car that was over 2400 lb's. Though this will wiegh a lot more cause it's a BMW.
