It´s here, it´s here...
16 Dec 2004
17:45
MANAGUA, NI
DELIVERY
I got a paper from Customs saying that it had arrived, and that they had retained it for some reason...I´ll have to go to pick it up and talk to them to see what the hell they want...they shouldn´t charge me anything since it is for personal use, but you never know... ...
Too bad I´m not in Managua right now, and I won´t be back there ´till sunday, but I´ll send someone over to customs to pick it up for me...I´ll post pics as soon as I get home.
I´m extremely impressed by the shipping...three days from UK to Nica...wow  ...
THANKS A BUNCH JABBA!!!

Pheeeew....glad to hear that....I just hope no one in customs likes "Hot Metal" just to remind you that the disc is inside the player...so you will need to power up the player to remove it I think.

Very quick indeed! But strange it was kept at customs.. with UPS or similar the custom papers are always perfect and they shouldn't have no question whatsoever.. keep us up to date

Then let's hope none of those customs jackasses try and power it up, as I understand the voltage in Nicaragua is different.... I've got my fingers crossed that everything is in order.
3 days for shipping is very fast indeed!

Hate when customs hold your packages like that! At least half of my online orders I made from the states got held and opened by them, it's like I'm on their blacklist or something
Hopefully everything will work out for you. Maybe UPS just want to charge you brokerage fee (I got charged by them once on a package worth about as much as the fee).

i think it's not the hot meal they care about, i think it's the cocane that jabba included in the side panel that worrys them the most.

Customs will probably open the package to see if nothing unusual is in it...but I doubt they will try to power it...yes the power here is 120v and I really hope they don´t mess it up...
I´ve had some stuff retained by them before, it happens, it´s quite normal...as mentioned they will probably try to charge me something, but I´m sure it can be talked out of...
My father will probably go and pick it up today, but I haven´t talked to him yet, if he doesn´t have time, well then I´d have to go and pick it up on Monday...
