Default Tesla with people in it on regular roads

I grabbed my iphone to take a picture of a beautiful white Lotus that was parked and leaving my work parking lot. I fumbled and pushed the "show me the pictures button" on the camera not the "snap photo button" as it backed out. As it turned, it read Tesla on the back and silently went away very quickly. I cant say roared away, as it was completely silent.

I was stunned.

No photo. Car was in town for the Car show, wont be back.

Very impressive. I will remember that moment of surprise, forever.

Not to worry, it probably ran out of juice 24 miles up the road - you may see it on your way into the office tomorrow hehe

I know they have similar shapes but who mistakes a Tesla for an Elise? My mother could tell them apart.

It was better looking than an Elise, I assumed it was a new model. I never though I would see a real Tesla on the road.

There has got to be at least one at, or coming to Houston...

Only for "show and tell" - the distances involved in even any trips of merit and chance of running out of charge on a busy freeway is too large for that glorified golf kart to be of any real use

I office near a rarified world of PWM who like nice cars. The car was brought over to where I work, so that a buyer could have a test drive. The car was in Houston for the Classy Chassy car show at the Reliant Stadium (next to the Astrodome) the weekend before. I suspect the car was transported here from the West coast in an enclosed trailer.

We can begin counting the days until the actual Tesla he bought shows up. I'll keep you posted.

It's the size. Especially in the US, you really notice the size. There is no other car that size other than the Elise/Exige.
