Default Updated cars since last visit (118d, CBR)

Ok I have no 'proof' pic as yet but compare the location in the background (my carport) with previous 'proof' pic of the Z4...this car is now sold as I got a company car and it was a lot of car to have depreciating at £200 a month, just sat there not being used much...

Now the CBR, well, what can I say. Utter madness. 118hp and 155kg... I don't think much more needs to be said! Some of the money from selling the Z4 paid for the bike. The rest of the cash I am thinking of spending on a cabriolet, budget is about £11k. Suggestions are welcome and I will put a post up elsewhere to discuss this.

The BMW 118d SE has the usual SE spec (climate, rear park sensors, lighting package, etc) plus the following options:

-Quartzblau metallic paint
-Dynamic pack (17" 256 alloys, M sport suspension, sport seats in blue network cloth)
-Xenon headlamps
-Headlamp washers
-Heated Seats
-Professional CD
-BMW LOGIC7 surround speaker system (10 speakers 2X40W tweeters, 4X40w full range, and 2X70W subs under the seats)
-USB iPod dock
-Promotech plug in tuning module (143hp > 180hp and 220lbft > 260 lbft)

I chose the 118d over the 120d as it is registered as 119g/km, making it very cheap on company car tax (£89 a month vs £130 a month for 120d) and then added the tuning module to bring the performance back up to a reasonable level...in the UK the tax loophole has not yet been closed, of course with the tuning box it is putting out a bit more than 120g/km now!!

An additional benefit is the cheaper list price, allowing all those nice options I chose (basically the stereo and headlamps, which my company car budget would not stretch to, given the higher list price of the 177hp 120d)

I don't care for leather as it is not me worrying about the residual value (used BMWs don't sell very well in the UK without leather) and besides the cloth grips you better when 'making progress'

Looking good there mate.

60mpg?? Would that include some thrashing through the countryside at a crazy rate of knots?

Hehe, well I have this to thrash about in now...just purchased this week. It may look a little erm 'familiar' to you, RC, can assure you its not the same one though

The housing market continues to tumble so decided to carry on renting...and spend in the meantime!
